It was formulated to be a gentle but effective product that cleans the skin without stripping it, and moisturizing skin without clogging pores. The cleanser originally debuted in 1947, when it was created by a pharmacist, but didn’t gain momentum until the 1960s. The concept is that the serum works by stimulating the skin’s reparative processes, which then minimizes the appearance of wrinkles and lines.Ĭetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser has been a cult favorite product for decades and is beloved by dermatologists. The peach colored fluid is powered by ChronoluxCB Technology to help reduce the signs of aging. The serum is designed to hydrate the skin and boost its radiance. Over the years the formula has been tweaked and it’s now officially called Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II. The serum was first packaged in a brown apothecary style bottle to help protect it from light, and the design hasn’t changed much in decades. Night Repair is a lightweight fluid designed to penetrate deeply into the skin, and is ideal for dry or sensitive skin. The idea behind Night Repair is that our bodies kick into repair mode while we sleep, which is the optimal time to heal the skin. It was also one of the first beauty products to use hyaluronic acid, which is now considered a beauty staple. The packaging is streamlined to help cut down on waste.Įstée Lauder launched Night Repair in 1982, and one of its many claims to fame is that it’s the beauty world’s first serum. The company is also environmentally conscious, and is committed to eliminating known irritants and pollutants that can compromise skin health and contaminate the environment. The brand skips harmful chemicals commonly found in skincare products. What is equally important is what doesn’t go inside the formulas. Carrot & Stick products all rely on naturally sourced ingredients such as jojoba seed oil, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. Its products blend the power of plants with science to deliver straightforward, effective skincare. The collection covers all the basic skincare needs with a moisturizer, serum, face wash, brightening pads and targeted serums to address various skincare concerns. Carrot & Stick takes a tough love approach to skincare. The new skincare brand Carrot & Stick bridges that gap, offering the best of both worlds. Years ago consumers often had to choose between naturally derived skincare brands that were deemed safe but not always powerful, or synthetically made skincare that was effective but could often raise health and environmental concerns. Overall, if I ever manage to finish this product, definitely not repurchasing. There’s no need to compromise on effectiveness and safety when it comes to skincare. I feel niacinamide when combined with Zinc works way better in controlling bumps or breakouts than standalone. I can’t validate the antioxidant benefits of this product, but as a regular user this product was again meh. I consistently used it for two months (other than a month in between when I was travelling), both AM & PM and you can see that still 3/4th of the product is left. Infact that is the only upside of this product, the price and quantity. During Limese sale, the price and quantity of this seemed to be quite a steal, so purchased it. #One thing skincare upgrade#So thought I’ll upgrade to 10% and see if that will show better results. previously I’ve used niamax d gel and may be to some extent I had fewer bumps than usual when using that, otherwise didn’t see much difference on hyperpigmentation or breakouts with that product as well. Niacinamide: So after two months of consistent use, I still don’t know how I feel about this product. I’ve previously used Isntree green tea toner which supremely soothes my skin, reduces redness when applied, it also doesn’t sting my eye and actually smells like tea and not alcohol. And since the texture is so runny it will definitely get into your eyes while applying. Green tea and Centella: Emptied, Both have slight smell of alcohol, very runny in texture and stings and burns the eye like anything. Previously I’ve also tried their centella toner and finished it, purchased and used up long back. Was really looking forward to trying these. Long Review: Ordered these two from limese during their Diwali sale. Short Review: Didn’t do much, Just Meh, WNRP Skin type: Dry, dehydrated, sensitive skin User: 31 F
